The Opportunity

Thinkingbox is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team in Vancouver. We are looking for an experienced individual who has a strong history of recruitment, building and shaping teams. You will work along the Talent Team and coordinate and work with the other departments

The position demands excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. We encourage creativity and encourage trying new things frequently. We like to challenge ourselves and learn how new technology and trends can help us stay on top of finding the best talent.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work alongside our Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition on the tactical side of the recruitment function including sourcing, interviewing and selection
  • Effectively manage the priority of open requisitions
  • Be the primary point of contact for our all recruitment
  • Develop and execute on a talent acquisition plan, sourcing strategy and deliver on the hiring objectives of the business
  • Research and provide recommendations for recruitment
  • Deliver an exceptional experience and service to all applicants, serving as the face and voice of Thinkingbox and the Talent Team
  • Proactively generate and present weekly reports and dashboards on all recruitment activity
  • Work with the Talent Team to create and deliver internal training on effective interviewing
  • Be an innate connector who loves to build pipeline talent – build deep networks of diverse talent across industries and geographies
  • Design and execute multi-channel opportunities for sourcing passive and active candidates
  • Be a part of creating the online and offline employer brand story
  • Coach leaders on best practices for attracting and hiring world class talent
  • Work with the internal Marketing Team to assist in posting for social media and our internal database
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with leaders to ensure a smooth and seamless recruitment process
  • Manage the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Manage 10-15 (average) roles at any given time

What You’ll Bring

  • Talent acquisition professional, recruitment manager or equivalent role, with 4+ years experience leading the recruitment function
  • Expert level of knowledge in all full lifecycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, head-hunting, qualifying, networking, assessing, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management, and due diligence
  • Experienced in both internal and agency environments, preferable, and comfortable with high volume recruitment of hard-to-fill positions
  • Experience supporting several internal teams and juggling multiple priorities and personalities
  • Extensive experience with applicant tracking systems from implementation, configuration, optimization through to reporting and analytics
  • Proven experience implementing recruitment programs in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, interview training, candidate assessment, top grading and more
  • Persuasive and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in developing processes and workflows
  • Negotiation and influencing skills required
  • Innovative, creative and strategic thinker
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of US and Canadian employment law
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment
